The Scholar

I recently completed my diploma in the Netherlands, a journey that became a major milestone in my development. Studying abroad pushed me far beyond my comfort zone and forced me to grow both technically and personally.

In my third year, I chose the toughest minor available: Deep Programming. The workload was hardcore — it demanded a lot on both theoretical and practical levels, but significantly accelerated my growth and technical depth.

During this period, I also took part in a HackTheBox CTF competition. Collaborating with friends to tackle real-world security challenges was both exciting and educational.

For my thesis, I built a simulation combining AI and cybersecurity, exploring adaptive system behavior. The project was later presented at the IHCI conference.

work experience

The Rookie

For six months, I worked as an intern at Merkantil Bank, a subsidiary of OTP Bank, as part of the DevOps team.

This was my first exposure to modern enterprise infrastructure and development practices in a real corporate environment. I worked alongside professionals using CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Jira, Jenkins, Azure, and Nexus.

My primary responsibility was rewriting a Linux Bash script that automated the bank's log management system, which ran daily in production. This required analyzing legacy scripts, understanding system dependencies, and improving structure and reliability.

Although I did not directly operate every tool in the DevOps stack, I gained valuable insight into how large-scale corporate systems are built, maintained, and deployed in a regulated banking environment.

about

I grew up in Budapest, studied in Amsterdam, and somehow ended up in Brisbane, each move taught me to adapt and stay open and to get comfortable with being uncomfortable.

Outside the terminal I try to stay active, mostly gym and running but occasionally volleyball, basketball, and even surfing. I believe the same mindset that gets you through a tough workout applies to engineering: consistency, patience, and showing up.

I also have a thing for traveling, diving into different cultures, and eating, I'm genuinely obsessed with good food.

Building useful and cool stuff. Ideally both.
